little pink plant

cradled out of cracks

wont grow any more

slight freckled delicate

leaves pair and pair

its growing

needs more space compost

wont work

whats a weed anyway

you cant see how

leaves pair and pair again

we cant work

but the plant

wish its growth

meant what i hoped

just a weed

it grows

you cant see

how.

Juvenilia/My Sadness

let me take
a look at you

how you’ve grown

how long
has it been?
thirty years?

no

hiding inside me
you’ve gotten
so beautiful

every crude little bump
so smooth and rounded
black ice obsidian
pink gin lingers
in your mouth

i’m proud of you

we’ve been getting you
ready for so long now

it lifts my chest
by a strong rope breath

to see you
like this

i think we’re almost
ready
