Original article for my "The Lilly" poem (KOURTNEY Kardashian).

BEFORE KOURTNEY
Kourt has worked hard to stay
in shape since the birth of baby
Mason, and her careful food
and workout plans have paid off.
Barely four months after having
her son, the star, who turns
32 on April 18, had already
shed almost 15kg to reach just
a few kilos shy of her pre-baby
size. ‘I didn’t set a goal date to
lose the baby weight…The first
two months with Mason it was
hard for me to find time to
work-out,’ says Kourt, who
started out by making small but
significant changes to her daily
diet. ‘I was eating a lot of dried
fruit and I didn’t realise how
much sugar that added. Now
I’ll eat raw almonds instead
of salted ones.’

This week’s hottest news
Kourtney’s flat tummy workout
A few weeks after I had Mason,
my weight kind of stopped
dropping,’ mum-of-one
Kourtney says. ‘I was like,
“OK, I have to step it up”.’
And that’s exactly what she did
- focusing on a mix of cardio and
weights to get back to peak fitness.
‘I started doing weight training to shock
my body into doing something I’m not
really used to,’ she says.
To maintain her pre-baby flat tummy
without sacrificing too much time with
Mason, Kourtney has found ways to make
her workouts as time-efficient as possible.
‘I can jog right outside the house for
30 minutes… and save the time it takes
to drive to the gym,’ she says. ‘[And] I do
jumping squats while holding Mason.’
She’s also been turning to Pilates to
tone up even more. ’Just did an amazing
pilates class with @KimKardashian. That
and a little Quicktrim and my bikini bod
will be ready in no time!’ she tweeted
on April 9. OK!

TAKE IT OUTSIDE
‘I’m big on running
outside – putting on my
iPod Shuffle and just
going.’ Kourt says. ‘A run
on the beach is quick
and easy and keeps
my metabolism going.’

AB-TASTIC
When she can, the
busy mum ups her
workout to 90 minutes
- focusing on crunches
and planks to keep
her abdominals tight.

STEP UP
TO IT!
Kourt aims for five
sessions a week,
alternating sprints with
three sets of 12-15
reps of setp-ups,
squats and lunges.
